Amphibian Kindred

Shared Amphibian Architecture

The Amphibian Kindred contains Beastfolk whose inherited sapient architecture remains substantially amphibian-derived. Members of the Kindred can differ strongly in skin, tails, sensory structures, limb proportions, and movement while remaining reproductively compatible at the Kindred level.

Water adaptation is common within the known Lineages, but it does not require one universal body plan, one habitat, or one magical affinity. Amphibian ancestry describes inheritance rather than temperament, profession, or culture.

Known Lineages

The Narevai and Calyren are the two presently established Amphibian Lineages. Their differences are stable enough to justify separate Lineages, while their deeper inherited architecture remains compatible enough to place them within one Kindred.
