Avian Kindred
A broad Beastfolk Kindred whose Lineages share compatible avian-derived architecture despite major differences in wings, hands, flight, plumage, and ancestral bird type.
Avian Does Not Mean One Body Plan
Avian Beastfolk share an inherited metaphysical architecture strongly enough for their Lineages to remain one Kindred, but that shared inheritance does not require identical limbs or the ability to fly. Kelvori are naturally flying, Kethovar are naturally flightless and possess functional hands rather than wings, and the flight biology of several other Avian Lineages remains less completely documented.
Flight is therefore a Lineage-level trait, not an Avian requirement. The same caution applies to beak shape, foot structure, plumage, vision, song, and other traits that vary enormously among birds.
Branches and Lineages
The Strigine Branch identifies the owl-derived Seruneth, while the Corvine Branch groups Ruveketh and Othrevi. Kelvori and Kethovar presently sit directly beneath Avian because no intermediate Branch is needed to explain their known relationships.
