Maruven

The Maruven are a stable Simian Beastfolk Lineage presently represented by the Ascension path Ash Climber → Trailblazer → Warfire. Known adults are creature-forward primate people rather than humans with added ears or tails. Established inherited traits include full-body fur; a distinct primate face with a short projecting muzzle, small dark nose, mobile cheeks, and defined brow; exactly two rounded furred primate ears; five-fingered dexterous hands with opposable thumbs; five-toed grasping feet with mobile inner toes; and one long muscular prehensile tail. The terminal portion of the tail carries a dense flame-shaped tuft of fur. In known Maruven this tuft uses warm ember-associated colors, but it is biological fur rather than actual fire: it does not glow, smoke, spark, burn, or ignite objects. Rust, ochre, copper, ember-red, ash-brown, and cream coloration are documented among known members, but the full Lineage palette is not yet established. Crown fur and restrained facial markings are likewise documented without being assumed identical across the entire population. Their grasping hands and feet, flexible limb use, balance, and prehensile tail make climbing and complex three-dimensional movement natural physical aptitudes. Those abilities do not prescribe temperament, culture, or profession. Ash Climber's courage, Trailblazer's route-testing responsibility, Warfire's martial role, and their mountain associations belong to individual Ascension and cultural circumstance rather than inherited ancestry. No intrinsic fire magic is presently established for the Maruven. Ascension can enlarge or formalize crown fur, markings, body proportions, tail control, and martial capability without changing Lineage. Ash Climber, Trailblazer, and Warfire are all adult forms; their Ascension sequence is an earned transformation of responsibility and capability, not a maturation cycle.
