The Unseen Powers
The Unseen Powers are the beings and intelligences whose existence reaches beyond ordinary mortal perception: gods, celestial orders, infernal powers, spirits, and other entities whose actions can cross the boundaries between worlds.
This branch concerns who these beings are, how their orders and relationships are structured, what they desire, and how their choices have touched the history of Cardorbis.
Not everything capable of shaping Cardorbis belongs wholly to the Material World. Beyond ordinary mortal sight exist both beings and realms whose natures, purposes, loyalties, and conflicts unfold across boundaries that most inhabitants encounter only through religion, magic, history, death, or rare direct experience.
The Unseen Powers should not be mistaken for a simple division between good and evil. Classification describes what a being is and where it belongs within the Archives; it does not decide its moral worth. An Archangel and an Archdevil may occupy comparable places within different branches of the archive without thereby becoming morally equivalent, just as two nations existing at the same geographic level need not resemble one another. Their deeds, doctrines, alliances, failures, and conflicts must be understood through their own histories rather than through their position in the hierarchy alone.
