The woman shown here works amid Cerdaven's demanding mountain construction, where steep terrain, moving water, old foundations, existing neighborhoods, and geological change ensure that no plan survives reality simply because it looked convincing on paper.
A Master Builder must know enough to coordinate expertise without pretending to replace it. Masons, surveyors, riggers, crane crews, smiths, draftspeople, Earth mages, inspectors, laborers, and other specialists may each recognize problems that nobody else can see. Excavation can expose unexpected stone, deliveries can change the safest sequence of work, and conditions can invalidate assumptions that seemed settled when construction began.
Cerdaven's building culture and the Grand Forge make this title particularly prominent, but Master Builders are needed wherever complex structures require many kinds of knowledge to become one dependable whole. This Ascension can develop from Forge Apprentice, widening an early sensitivity to individual fit into an understanding of load, sequence, coordination, and mutual support.
