Who is This Card?
A Queen of Summer is Tectara’s sovereign representative, an office concerned with abundance, access, connection, and the question of how valuable things can move outward without either exhausting their source or becoming instruments of control. The title is also the mature Ascension available from the lineage that can pass through Orchard Keeper and Joy Keeper, widening the stewardship of cultivated abundance into responsibility for systems through which others may flourish.
Tectara does not make the office hereditary. Candidates surrender the Bark Token that ordinarily marks them as recognized people under the realm’s protection and cross the Sea of Fog without that safeguard. Returning matters, but survival alone does not crown anyone. Community representatives still judge among those who return, because a difficult landscape can reveal something about a person without becoming magically competent to decide who should govern.
A Queen of Summer coordinates responsibilities that must reach beyond one settlement: foreign relations, defense, protected access, relationships surrounding the World Tree, and questions whose consequences cross local boundaries. Communities nevertheless retain substantial authority over the places they actually inhabit. Tarsavel’s hidden-road traditions express the same principle from another direction: knowing how to reach a place or resource does not automatically create the right to distribute it.
Queen of Summer is an Exemplar of generative abundance. Orchard Keeper cultivates enough for life to flourish; Joy Keeper asks whether others can participate in what has been created; the mature form carries that question outward into governance. Abundance reaches its fullest expression when sharing can become the beginning of another flourishing system without stripping the source or making the recipient permanently dependent upon the giver.

There is a difference between having abundance and allowing abundance to create new beginnings. A full garden can feed the people already around it, while seeds, saplings, knowledge, and opportunity can allow another garden to exist somewhere else.
Generosity does not require emptying the original source. The deeper idea is that abundance can preserve itself while still becoming the beginning of something beyond its own boundaries.

The goal is not permanent dependence upon Queen of Summer's garden, but the possibility of another garden taking root. Her abundance becomes larger when it gives others the means to create abundance beyond her reach.
Where This Path Leads
Queen of Summer is the mature expression of a lineage that begins with Orchard Keeper in Verdant Bloom and continues through Joy Keeper in Emberfest. Cultivation first produces abundance, then learns to make that abundance participatory, and finally develops into stewardship of generative conditions on a scale large enough to affect whole communities.
No further Ascension is currently known beyond Queen of Summer. In Tectara, the title is also connected to a nonhereditary sovereign role shaped by the Bark Token, the Sea of Fog, and community judgment, so the mature form and the political office remain related without being automatic equivalents. The path reaches completion in abundance that renews rather than exhausts what makes abundance possible.
